"Lock the doors and close the blinds -- we're going for a ride..."

Tonight begins the "American Idol" season -- and the only part of the show I ever watch:  the first round of auditions. It's beautiful to notice the potential of some of these wonderful kids getting their big break. Some of them will be going to Hollywood. Others, like Alexis with the 80s perm and the star-shaped dangly earrings and annoying Allentown accent, are getting their two minutes of fame by embarrassing themselves on camera.

Two years ago I gave you (with the assistance of Gabcast) "Shiny Idol" -- where I had you all provide me with songs to "audition" with. I then recorded snippets on Gabcast and posted them here.

Should I do it again? Thoughts? Ideas? Criticisms?
