I'm a dork.

Tonight I listened to the last episode of the "Hitchhiker's Guide" radio series -- the "Quintessential Phase."  It premiered last night on BBC's Radio 4.

And when it ended, I started applauding. And stood up. A standing ovation of one for this radio series. K was puzzled for just a moment at the gesture -- until she remembered that she's married to a big dork.

They ended it well -- the first 20 minutes are true to the fifth book in the series. But the last 10 minutes? They manage to pull characters and story arcs from all five series into the finale. And yes, they bring back Marvin.

And even Douglas Adams and Peter Jones make appearances in this episode. (Both are dead.)
