"Lock the doors and close the blinds -- we're going for a ride..."
Random Acts of Kindness.
mrsmile visited my blog today. S/he* wished me a "WONDERFUL tomorrow."
* I don't know whether this is a he or she. It could be "Mr. Smile." Or "Mrs. Mile." Or it could be an acronym of sorts. But that doesn't really matter.
What matters is that I smiled. And I felt good.
mrsmile was simply passing along RAOK -- Random Acts of Kindness -- to my blog. There's an explanation on his/her blog -- as well as its own blog at raok. Brilliant stuff -- the idea is to pass along kindness to each other through the blogosphere. The cost of being kind to a stranger? Minimal. But the impact? Priceless.
There's even a graphic which they have which gives me that warm fuzzy feeling:
There's nothing cuter than a huggable cat with opposable thumbs. And it can open its own cans of food. Happiness galore!
Which is why I'm going to get in on the action. And I encourage you all to as well.
Your mission: Head to a blog -- a random blog -- and spread words of kindness. Happiness. Something you'd want to hear yourself. Pass along the kindness to someone else.
I've decided to make my impact by spreading a happy message included in an image file to the Mindsay community:
You see? It's as easy as that. Let people know that they make you happy. That you're celebrating their good fortune.
(I did, however, realize that the above graphic may not be completely inclusive of the entire Mindsay community. For this reason, I've come up with an alternate graphic which should close the gap a bit, allowing everyone to be treated fairly.)
And it's all about where your heart is. So -- use it wisely. And let your love for your fellow Mindsayers in this wonderful community burn wildly and passionately!
