As you may be aware, myclette is currently evacuating her home city due to the impending damage of Hurricane Rita which is still headed toward the Texas Coast. I am honored that she is allowing me to sub in for her "80's Song of the Day" feature until she returns. I certainly have great Hypercolor shoes to fill...

I remember when the movie of this name came out in 1999. It was based on the legendary TV show of the 1950s of the same name -- but in this version, Will Smith was large and in charge. It also featured a legless Kenneth Brannaugh and a huge spider -- the "strongest creature known to man."

The movie? "Wild Wild West."

The song with the same title came out in 1988 and had nothing to do with the TV show or the movie. But it was a fun, meaningless pop song nonetheless.
