"Lock the doors and close the blinds -- we're going for a ride..."

This is an interesting story:  A 27 year-old father in Muncie, IN was sick and tired of seeing cars tear through the stop sign at the street corner outside his home. He requested the city put in a crosswalk -- since the visual cue on the road would help people realize that was truly a place to stop (or at least slow down). The city said "no."

So he painted his own crosswalk. And was fined by the city for it. He was cited again when the city caught him touching up the paint job.

Do I think what this man did was illegal? Yes.
Do I think the city was within its right to fine him for this? Yes

Do I feel that he did the right thing? Yes.
