Let's start with a haiku expressing how I feel right now:

My sinuses hurt

I need more decognestant

And my nose just... blows.

Sadly, of the three of us I'm most likely the healthiest right now. K has been succeptable to sinus infections all her life, and made an doctor's appointment today because her head and neck have been killing her the past few days. And day-care called this morning; they asked us to take Av home because they feared he had pink eye. His eyes and nose have been all goopy and stuff for the past few days, but it didn't seem like pink eye. And, sure enough, K took him to the doctor today and they verified that it's just a cold and not wildly contagious. He even has a doctor's note clearing him so he can go back tomorrow.

Since K had her appointment, it meant me having to leave work three hours early to be at home with him while she went to the doctor. Honestly, it was refreshing to get out of there. People were a little too on-edge today -- moreso than they usually are, and it was a less than busy day for me. Also, it was a nice change being able to drive home outside of rush hour.

I hadn't had much to eat all day -- but K went ahead and got Smoothie King, of which I scarfed down a 32 ounce smoothie far too quickly. Bad idea. I would equate drinking Smoothie King too quickly with a sinus headache to drunken sex with an old flame: You're starved for it, and it's available, so you devour it very quickly. But a good twenty minutes after you finish, you realize how much you regret having it. And your stomach feels all queazy.

Time to re-decongest...
